I first started working with Jon in 2017 a few months before my wedding. He worked with me on my goals with weight loss, getting fit, and feeling strong. I loved the accountability and motivation that came along with training sessions.

I am in my 80s and with Jon I have developed the strength I need for my daily routine. One example: arm strength to hold on to the rails in buses. Very important because I often take buses and they rock back and forth.

Jon is the best! I was hesitant to spend the money on a trainer but decided to bite the bullet after an initial phone call and meeting. Jon was amazing to work with right from the start. I have a herniated disc in my neck that I get very nervous about but Jon is really well informed about injuries and just body issues in general. Though my youngest baby is 4, Jon also shared some really helpful insights about postpartum body changes.

Jon is hilarious and so fun to work with but also really good at what he does. I saw a difference in my strength really quickly and my stomach started feeling flatter within weeks of working with him – and that is no small feat.

I started with Jon Linchitz barely 8 weeks ago and I am super impressed at the way his strength training program has taken me from barely able to complete a 10 lb set of Goblet squats to doing a set of 65 lb back squats, in only 16 sessions, among many other progressive weight exercises.

Granted that I had some training before the pandemic with a different trainer at another gym, so l came in with some experience and a faint memory of the proper techniques. After being away from the gym for 3 1/2 years, I had very little expectations and no timeline for myself. I knew I was grossly out of shape, but vowed just to show up and see what happened. I’m glad I found Jon on Yelp and that he promptly called me back. I decided to go in for his free assessment and I was sold on his 20+ years of experience and kind, respectful demeanor. Plus great tips for stretching, fueling and recovery. Sports lab is a great gym to practice at too! It’s well equipped and always clean.
