Trust is built
one session at a time.

I’ve been training with Jon for the past 18 months, and it’s been a positive investment I’ve made in my health.

When I started, I had lingering shoulder issues and wasn’t confident lifting heavy. Today, I’m 50 years old and stronger than I’ve been in years — and injury free. Jon helped me safely rebuild strength in my shoulders, refine my form and technique on heavy compound lifts, and progressively push my limits without sacrificing longevity.

What really sets him apart is that he doesn’t just run workouts — he has a clear plan and long term goals for me. Every session builds toward something. He tracks progress, adjusts programming intelligently, and makes sure my technique is locked in before adding weight.

He’s also been incredibly helpful with nutrition guidance, helping me dial things in to support strength, recovery, and physique goals. The results speak for themselves.

If you’re serious about getting stronger, improving technique, and transforming your physique the right way — not just sweating for an hour — I recommend jon. It’s been a successful and rewarding journey, and I’m excited about what’s ahead.

How much does a personal trainer in NYC cost?

Jon's single session is $180. Packages bring the per-session rate to $170 for six sessions, $165 for twelve, or $160 for twenty-four. Every session is 60 minutes. The initial 60-minute assessment and 30-minute phone call are free.

Can I train with a back injury or chronic pain?

If you are looking for a personal trainer for back pain, start by discussing your history and any medical guidance with Jon. He builds training around your limitations. Some situations require clearance from your clinician before exercise; personal training does not diagnose or treat an injury.

Where are you located?

Jon trains at Sports Lab NYC, 295 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017, two blocks from Grand Central. The entrance is on 41st Street. If you searched for a “personal trainer near me” from your Midtown office, this is an easy place to meet before or after work.

Do you help with weight loss and body transformation?

Yes. As a fitness trainer for weight loss, Jon combines strength programming, nutrition coaching and accountability. If you want a personal trainer to lose weight with, your first assessment is a chance to discuss your goals and what a realistic routine could look like.

What happens in the free assessment?

Your free 60-minute visit combines an assessment with a workout adapted to your starting point. Jon reviews your history and goals, observes how you move and discusses a training approach. There is no obligation to buy a package.

How do I choose the best personal trainer NYC has for my needs?

Look for relevant qualifications, experience with your goals and a coach who listens. A good fit matters more than a “top personal trainer NYC” label. Meet Jon, ask about his approach and use the free assessment to decide whether his coaching is right for you.

Can I train individually or in a small group?

Both. Individual training sessions are available, and small groups of up to four people can also be arranged. Every program is personalized for focused guidance and attention. The listed rates are for individual sessions; ask Jon about group pricing and availability.

Can I train before work or in the evening?

Jon offers early and evening slots Monday through Saturday, subject to availability. Share your preferred times when he contacts you. You can also begin with a free 30-minute phone call.
